Awesome StuffIf you are an online writer, or even a blogger, you must have heard “how much search engines like awesome content.”
And, how search engines are partial to awesome content compared to the ordinary ones.
Online copywriters as well as SEO professionals, everybody agrees that this type of content always perform well, and always rank well. Industry veterans always advice to create great stuff for web-readers. A piece of article which can solve your readers’ problems, help them to grow and prompt them to visit your blog again and again.
Just like your visitors, search engines also like awesome content. Because their entire business model is based on user experience. If they will not serve great stuff today, nobody will visit them tomorrow. If this is the case then “what awesome content is? Or how search engines decide content awesomeness?

1. Relevancy

Content relevancy is one of the major ranking signal used by all search engines.
How relevant your content or web-page within your industry, your niche, and your topic. How you have constructed your article centering the keyword or language used by searchers in mind.
How relevant your interlinked content as a reference material. How relevant your links pointing to external web-pages or sites. The images and videos used by you to better describe the article, just everything should be related closely to your topic. Article heading and meta description (indirectly) also play big roles to justify relevancy to search engines.

2. Time Spent

Sometimes a 500 words article outranks a 2000 words long article. This is because the relative time spent on the former article by visitors is more. But search engines like longer version articles and they rank them higher; provided, the relative time spent is more.
Relative time spent means – time spent by readers compared to the length of the content. 15 mins spent by the readers on a 500 words article performs better in search results than 30 mins spent on a 2000 words article.
Don’t you think people spend more time in beautiful places? Just like this, readers spend more time on awesome content. And search engines love to rank them higher in search results.

3. Sharing

People like to share stuff within their friend circle. Whether it is food, drink, or even content.
Search engines judge a content’s awesomeness from its social media signal. How it has been shared among people on different social media networks. More number of likes, tweets and stumbles means better quality content.
Sharing is like social media votes by real people. Social media influencers, and even average people on various networks never share a content if it is not useful or awesome.

4. Linked

Links are like citations or vote of confidence by other webmasters or publishers.
Search engines look how the content is linked by other authoritative websites. Awesome content earn links or attract links naturally. That’s why people call them link-bait.
Produce content which people like to use it as a reference material and link to it while publishing their own content.

5. User Experience

How you present or serve the content to your audience matters the most.
Readability, formats, background contrast, use of colors and navigation are vital. How fast your page loads is even more important. Readers land on your website or blog for content. Easy navigation and fast loading pages make them happy. Search engines are smart enough to detect spelling and grammatical mistakes on your page. So proofread and revise your content again and again to make it error free.
