Google, the internet giant told a Delhi( India) court that it had removed the objectionable content from Google India local search, You Tube and Blogger on Feb 06, 2012.
Facebook also produced its compliance report before the court after getting an ultimatum. Google and Facebook are among 22 social networking websites who had got warning from a Delhi court to remove some sensitive and objectionable content including images which are offensive to Hindus, Muslims and Christians.
After complaints from few private petitioners, the Delhi court ordered the social networking sites to develop a mechanism to block or remove these sensitive information.
Google spokeswoman Paroma Chaudhry said, Google review team has looked at the content and removed from the Google.co.in domain and also from You Tube and Bloggers.
